Rewiring 2025: A Year of Transformation

For the last five years, I’ve embraced a practice that helps guide my intentions, goals, and daily decisions. It’s the tradition of choosing a word of the year.

This word becomes the cornerstone of my “New Year’s Resolutions” and inspires a mission statement of intent. Choosing a word provides clarity and direction, helping me make choices that align with my values, aspirations, and long-term goals. It’s a daily touchstone that keeps me grounded and motivated.

I write a mission statement for the year based on this word and keep it visible—on my phone and desk—so I can reflect on it every single day.

Some of my past words have been: HAVEN, GLOW, BECOME, STEADY, and WHOLE.

This year, I am focusing on transformation at the deepest level. I want to rewire my thoughts, patterns, and emotional responses to align with the highest version of myself. It’s about creating a mindset that empowers me to heal, grow, and thrive in every area of my life.

And so, my word of the year for 2025 is REWIRE.

Meaning of REWIRE

To me, rewire means intentionally reshaping my thoughts, beliefs, and habits to support the life I want to create. It’s about healing past traumas, breaking free from limiting patterns, and training my mind to focus on positivity, empowerment, and productivity.

Rewiring is a process of transformation—building new neural pathways that allow me to release old stories and embrace new ways of thinking. By doing this, I can step into my highest self before I turn 35, a milestone where 90–95% of my identity will be stored in my subconscious as habits and behaviors. This year is about making those patterns work for me, not against me, so I can live with intention, joy, and purpose.

My Mission Statement for 2025:

“I am a mother, wife, daughter, friend, dietitian, and personal trainer. In 2025, I am on a mission to rewire my mindset and reshape my life by healing old wounds, creating positive and productive thought patterns, and building habits that align with my highest potential.

I will approach each day with intention, curiosity, and an open heart as I break free from limiting beliefs and embrace empowering perspectives. Through this process, I will create a life that radiates positivity, strength, and joy—not just for myself but for my family, clients, and community.

Rewiring my thoughts means living with mindfulness and clarity, allowing me to show up as the best version of myself for my daughter Alahna and those I serve. I will celebrate the small victories along the way, recognizing that every shift, no matter how small, contributes to a larger transformation.

This year, I commit to growth, healing, and intentional living. I will take charge of my future by rewiring my habits and thoughts to reflect the abundance, love, and purpose I desire. By doing so, I will inspire those around me to do the same, creating a ripple effect of positivity and empowerment.”
